Abstract
Injection Moulding is one of the widely used methods to produce plastic parts. Cost is one of the predominant factors that affect the selection and usage of a particular technology. This paper provides an insight on manufacturability and cost estimation for injection moulding tool required to make an exhaust fan. The cost thus arrived by conventional means is compared with the cost associated with the use of Rapid Tooling technology.
