Abstract

In Atkinson engine, residual heat in the form of exhaust is quite a fraction of the energy produced in the combustion of gasoline. With an ever increasing demand for fossil fuels depleting their reserves to their limit, there is an inherent need for better engines which can utilize residual heat. ATKINSON-STIRLING ENGINE can be the solution to this problem. The heat exchanged with the refrigeration system in which R-12 is the working fluid is used to power the Stirling engine; however gasoline is used for the initiation of the process. We intend to make normal gasoline powered engine more efficient, green and cheaper in the long run.
