Abstract

Autonomous driving is considered one of the most disruptive technology change of the past decades. However, many challenges have to be overcome in order to fulfil the dream of a completely autonomous driving car. The paper clarifies what autonomous driving is from the engineering point of view, what the challenges are and presents approaches on how society, industry and research are trying to solve them.
