Author(s) : RACHEL BARKER

Abstract

Through a systematic review of existing theories and models, various constructs and elements were identified and used to develop a conceptual framework which was quantitatively tested on a convenience sample of students (n=300) at Sunway University in Malaysia. Based on the results, a measurement scale was developed and analysed through structural equation modelling and confirmatory factor analysis. The results of the study emphasized the importance to proactively manage knowledge creation and sharing in online networks to enhance the learning experience and identity formation of students.
