Abstract

This paper estimates the impact of FDI on Nigeria economic growth using time series data during the period 1970- 2014.The results show that FDI exerts a positive impact on Nigeria economy during the period under review affirming the a priori economic expectation of a positive correlation existing between FDI and growth. Also, most of the variables entered are found to be statistically significant and it is suggested that favourable exchange rate regime and contractionary monetary policy be implemented and sustained so as to attract FDI.
