This is one of the only few papers dealing with the relationship between gender inequality in employment and HRM principles and practices to eradicate or ameliorate it. This is a conceptual paper which encompasses a theoretical reflection about HRM principles and practices and the potential impact they have on remedying gender inequality at managerial levels with the resultant outcomes of achieving organisational success that has been corroborated by empirical secondary findings from several countries. This paper comes up with an HRM conceptual theoretical model that needs empirical analysis and advocates that modern day workplaces move towards adopting such a model.
