Present paper discusses the role of job autonomy and psychological ownership in affecting turnover intention. A conceptual framework with psychological ownership as a mediator was proposed. The empirical investigation was carried out in an Indian telecom company through a questionnaire survey and it was found that both job autonomy and ownership feelings predicted short term intention to quit and the latter mediated the relationship between the other two variables. Results are discussed and ensuing practical implications are mentioned.
