Abstract

A new contextual mobile payment system has been proposed as one of the e-services based on our previously suggested ‘ICTization framework model’. This framework is supported by capability, connectivity and context provided in three separate layers namely core, management and distribution that maintain centralization, decentralization and parallelization features. Five entities are involved in the payment system namely user, merchants, network operator, bank and cell phone device manufacturer and incorporation of them is displayed in the architecture and operational steps. In this paper the mobile payment system impacting factors have been analyzed and prioritized through a survey. The proposed system supports ‘winwin’ proposition where the benefits of subscriber and bank are equally maintained and successful coordination among payer, payee and payment system are ensured as well.
